Plate Snob is an independent restaurant guide covering the UAE, Oman and Qatar: useful, opinionated and allergic to filler.
Who we are
Our guides cover Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Musandam, plus a growing Doha and Lusail edit. We choose established institutions, ambitious newcomers and neighbourhood favourites for their usefulness to diners, not because they belong to any particular restaurant group.
Editorial independence
Restaurants are assessed in context and sit alongside credible competitors. Ownership, access or a commercial relationship does not buy an unlabelled recommendation or a better place in the edit.
How the guide works
We combine official venue information, trusted public sources and editorial judgement. We favour restaurants with a clear reason to go, and we keep practical details visible so choosing dinner does not become a research project.
