Plate Snob is an independent restaurant guide covering the UAE, Oman and Qatar. Our selections reflect editorial judgement, not a claim to cover every table.
Selection
Restaurants are included because they offer a credible reason to visit: cooking, character, value, setting or a particularly useful fit for an occasion. A Plate Snob Pick is an editorial recommendation, not a paid badge.
Ownership and access
Restaurants connected to contributors, partners or people involved in Plate Snob can be included when relevant. They sit among strong competitors, face the same usefulness standards and do not receive an unlabelled recommendation because of the relationship.
Commercial relationships
Advertising, hosted experiences and paid partnerships do not buy an unlabelled editorial endorsement. Sponsored placements, partner features and other commercial content are clearly marked where they appear.
Accuracy and updates
Hours, prices and menus change. We show when details were checked, link to official sources where possible and classify older profiles for review. Readers should still confirm time-sensitive information before travelling.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong, tell us. We review corrections against official or first-party evidence and update the directory without quietly rewriting history.
