The useful version
What you need to know.
This is a September discovery list, not a claim that every business opened this month.
Intended's own channels and Mama'esh's branch directory provide direct planning links. Lucky 2000's June opening is attributed to reporting.
Al Nahyan, Masdar and Mina are separate outings. Choose the stop that fits your day instead of treating them as a walkable food crawl.
Intended: coffee and bakes in Al Nahyan
Intended's own website points visitors to Al Jiwa-a Street in Abu Dhabi and links its menu, delivery service and Instagram account. September reporting places the café in Al Nahyan and traces its move from a cloud kitchen to a permanent space. That makes it a useful coffee-and-bakes lead rather than a substitute for a full restaurant dinner.
The brand features brownies and date-walnut cookies among its bakes. Choose from the day's actual display or menu; do not assume a product pictured in a social post is always available. For an allergy, ask the team about ingredients and cross-contact. Marketing language about wholesome treats is not a kitchen safety guarantee.
Mama'esh: check the Masdar branch, not the nearest familiar name
Mama'esh's own link directory now includes an MBZUAI Masdar location alongside its menu and other branches. September opening coverage identifies the Abu Dhabi arrival as a Palestinian food option in Masdar City. Use that exact branch link when planning, rather than a delivery search that could send you to another emirate.
The useful questions here are practical: where visitors enter, whether campus access affects your visit, which menu is served at this branch and its hours on your chosen day. We have not confirmed those details directly with the team, so we are not assigning a universal opening time or borrowing prices from a Dubai branch. Start with the official location link below.
Lucky 2000: a Mina dessert stop, not a September launch
A June opening report places Lucky 2000 at Souq Al Mina and connects it with the team behind Marmellata and Barbassi. September's Best Bites roundup also includes it. The distinction is useful: this is a recent addition you may have missed, not a restaurant that suddenly opened on the day our article went live.
Reporting describes Italian-inspired filled doughnuts. Treat it as a dessert stop to investigate alongside a Mina outing, rather than arriving hungry for a full lunch. We have not verified a current first-party menu, price list or daily service window, so check the venue before making a special journey. Sold-out pastries are a particularly small consolation after a long drive.
Build the day around one area
Choose Al Nahyan for the Intended stop, Masdar for Mama'esh, or Mina for Lucky 2000. Save the others for another day. This is how a shortlist becomes useful: fewer speculative detours, more time at the place you actually wanted to try.
If your day is on Saadiyat instead, use our museum-area dining guide. Nayzak is at the Natural History Museum in the Saadiyat Cultural District, not beside Intended in Al Nahyan, and it is an established listing rather than one of this article's new openings. It belongs in a different itinerary. Geography is less glamorous than a launch party, but considerably more useful at lunchtime.
Straight answers
Frequently asked questions.
Are all these Abu Dhabi venues September openings?
No. The list highlights new and recent venues to consider in September. Lucky 2000's opening was reported in June; it is not presented as a September launch.
Where is Intended in Abu Dhabi?
Its own website identifies Al Jiwa-a Street, while September reporting places the café in Al Nahyan. Use its official contact and location information to confirm directions and hours.
Can I visit all three on foot?
This is not a walking route. Al Nahyan, Masdar and Mina are distinct areas. Pick one stop that fits your existing plans and check the route before setting out.
