The useful version

What you need to know.

Choose a roast at Reform, a Syrian set menu at Orfali Bros, or a Bluewaters brasserie plan at The Spaniel.

Published menu prices are food prices unless inclusions explicitly say otherwise. Confirm supplements, drinks and the final bill.

The menu checks below are research, not firsthand meal reviews. Conflicting service information is flagged rather than guessed.

Reform: the familiar roast in The Lakes

Reform's restaurant-supplied site lists weekend roasts on Saturday and Sunday from noon. The published choices are nut roast at AED 115, chicken at AED 130, beef or pork at AED 140, and a mixed roast at AED 165. Treat these as menu prices, not a drinks-inclusive package, and confirm the current selection when booking.

The garden and residential setting make this a sensible starting point for a mixed-age lunch. Request the seating area you actually want, check children's portions and tell the team about dietary requirements before the table arrives. An outdoor table is a weather decision, not a compulsory part of the experience. Reform is operated by Gates Hospitality. Its menu details here are restaurant-supplied; this guide does not claim an anonymous visit.

Orfali Bros: Sunday need not mean Yorkshire pudding

The official Aromas of Aleppo menu is AED 295 per person. It brings together dips and bread, kibbeh and dessert, with separately priced signature additions; the listed three-drink non-alcoholic pairing adds AED 80. Two menus plus two pairings therefore come to AED 750 before any other additions or charges that apply.

Recent reporting describes this as Sunday lunch, with FACT publishing a 1:30pm to 4pm window. The restaurant website's general hours still say dinner, Wednesday to Monday. Ask specifically for Aromas of Aleppo at Sunday lunch and get the sitting confirmed. The menu is verified; the service-time mismatch should not become your taxi problem.

The Spaniel: Bluewaters, with the format confirmed first

The Spaniel's official dining page lists Friday to Sunday service from noon to 11pm. Its SevenRooms roast page also says roast is available à la carte every day from 5pm. Separately, September reporting describes a new Sunday sharing feast for four or more. These are different pieces of information, not permission to promise that every roast format is available at every sitting.

If you want the group feast, ask for that by name and confirm the minimum party size, lunchtime availability and price. We have not found a sufficiently clear current official price for that specific feast, so it is deliberately not quoted here. Book a restaurant, not a screenshot of an offer whose small print nobody can find.

A better way to compare the bill

Compare like with like: food for the same number of people, the drinks you will actually order, sides, children's meals and any supplements. A single roast and a multi-course sharing menu do different jobs. Neither becomes better value merely by having the smaller number beside it.

For a family booking, ask about high chairs, step-free access, the children's menu and your preferred table. For a group, ask whether everyone must take the same menu. Then leave enough time to enjoy lunch. If the afternoon requires a spreadsheet of included beverages, perhaps you wanted brunch after all.
