What the restaurant actually offers

Six Senses describes Journey of the Senses as a twelve-course menu using farm produce, meat and seafood. Its restaurant page also offers private Starlight and Moonlight terrace experiences and a sunrise breakfast. Breakfast, a standard dinner reservation and a private terrace are separate enquiries; do not assume one booking includes the others.

Our interest is in the combination of a destination setting and a meal planned around it. This is a booking guide based on resort information, not a firsthand verdict on the cooking. Ask for the menu for your date, particularly if a dietary restriction makes a long tasting menu difficult. A beautiful view does not solve an unsuitable dinner.

The price question, without the guesswork

The restaurant page we checked did not publish a current per-person dinner price. We are not recycling an old offer or converting a number from a different menu into a supposed 2026 rate. Request a written quote in Omani rials that separates food, drinks, private-table supplements, taxes and any transfer charge.

For two people, compare the complete evening rather than doubling the headline menu price. A private terrace might have different conditions from a regular table; an outside visitor might need separate access arrangements. Neither a minimum spend nor complimentary transfers should be assumed. Keep the confirmation with your booking so there is something firmer than a phone recollection when plans change.

Can you dine without staying at the resort?

We have not verified a standing policy allowing non-resident diners. Contact reservations before making a journey specifically for dinner, and ask whether outside guests are accepted on your date, whether there is a minimum spend and how arrival and departure are handled. A restaurant reservation should not be treated as automatic permission to use the wider resort.

The restaurant page lists +968 2673 5888 and reservations-zighy@sixsenses.com. Give the team your date, party size, whether you are staying overnight and any access requirements in the first message. It is a more efficient opening than 'table with a view, please', however understandable the sentiment.

Getting there is part of the booking

The resort's arrival guide describes access through the UAE via the Dibba border and gives an approximate two-hour journey from Dubai International Airport. That is a resort estimate, not a guaranteed door-to-table time. It asks guests to verify UAE and Oman entry requirements with the relevant consulate and to arrange resort transfers after confirming a reservation.

Confirm the current route, required documents, vehicle arrangements and return transfer directly. Do not use this dining article as immigration advice or a promise that your car can complete the final approach. If sunset matters, ask the team what arrival time suits your sitting and the season rather than squeezing dinner into the last available minutes of daylight.

The message we would send

Please confirm availability for our date and party size, the current menu and total price, dietary accommodations, outside-guest access, transport arrangements, cancellation terms and whether a private terrace is available. We would also like to know which seating area is allocated and what happens if weather changes the outdoor plan.

If dinner is unavailable, ask about the resort's other dining options before changing the whole trip. Its dining directory also lists Spice Market and Summer House. That is a starting point for an enquiry, not a guarantee that a non-resident can simply walk into either. Book the complete visit, then enjoy the anticipation.
